Orchestrating the well being of any work team. Making sure they're all in harmony for the best possible synergy under the same roof is vital to an establishment.

[ is that what she's doing? why she would be important to this cafe? yes— she has to believe that as a fact if she wants to work. not to impress him, but perhaps bring up a convincing brush. ]

General administration, customer satisfaction and configuration— and all of that stems from the Manager. Personally, I can bring all of this to Purramid in a highly organized manner, Sir. [ give her a moment— she opens the folder she has and pulls out one sheet of paper, at most. it's her "curriculum vitæ", hand written into near perfection with ink and scroll. there're no computers, so she couldn't print this— she made she to measure everything down to symmetry. with more detail, her "work life", skills and experience are listed in easy to understand sentences, loaded with just the right amount of detail. ] I've prepared them for you.

Well, [ this is it, her thoughts whirr, too fast to offer an actual pause in her wording. her heart is skipping as is, from the fact that she's being praised, somewhat, but that didn't mean anything. positive, of course, but not certain. she wasn't in the clear until it was done and the result was out there. how would she react? when she was learning, she'd call one of the upperclassmen in a hurry to separate any disputes yachi was too frightened to intervene in. it's been a long time since then, she tells herself. ] it's true that patrons aren't always so tolerant.

[ a beat, but a short one. it's more her organizing her words and not actually thinking of what must be done, she knew what a situation called for in that instance. ]

Communication is key. I'd step in to keep the exchange light and not sour the customer— depending on the mistake, it can come from my wallet. [ she'll pay for the mistake, quickly and efficiently, and all to make sure the client doesn't leave like a bull ready to trample the establishment. it might even make them come back, so what's losing a few coins for a customer's satisfaction and return? ] Afterwards, I'd call the employee to talk in private.

[ privacy was important, too. no one else needed to see their colleague getting spoken to and gossip that they're being chewed out for all to see. ]

Mistakes can happen all the time, especially when you're new. As long as they're made aware of what it was they did wrong and what they can do to improve, they should get support and encouragement to keep going and rather than a warning.

[ a lot of people didn't work well under pressure, or if they were fearful; results came tenfold when they felt safe to try again, and would try far more compared to being afraid of losing the position. they'll work for the feel good support behind them. ]

It's the best way I can grow.

[ as if she hasn't heard it all her life from her mother— not in the bad way, of course, and sometimes it stung, but yachi knows the importance of criticism, even self-evaluation. the dog eat dog world out there that would crush you with its sheer pressure if you weren't flexible . . .

like rubber. be like rubber, like water, and you'll fit. ]

I know I have a lot to learn, Sir. I've never worked in an environment like this one, and there's so much I can study about Cafés on my own— but I want to.

[ . . . ohhhh my god, she's done it. she did it. don't cry. don't scream. just. accept it! professionally! every inch of her body felt like exploding with the utmost glee, reverberating in her chest and bringing her the greatest bout of joy she could feel. like the sun! like a party! like!!!! jdfhskjh!!!!!

outwardly, yachi nods her head and tries to steady her voice, ]

Of course, Mister Ozymandias. Thank you— Thank you for your time! I'll do my absolute best!

[ her bright red cheeks betray her mirth, as does the word "pharaoh" hide from her true understanding of the title. she has to go look for sylvia now, she's— she's got a job! ]
