[Leslie’s backpack only looks a little large thanks to her lack of largeness in her body. With how Ozymandias acts whenever there is half an excuse to give Leslie a present, she would have been fine if she brought nothing, but even setting aside clothing and a few assorted essentials, there are two important passengers to bring in the form of plushies: an older one from family in a different world, and a newer one from family in this one.
The second plush is not the only thing with her from Deceuer, but the dress she’d received for Modranicht, still a little large on her, is currently obscured beneath a thick coat, wool pants, and sturdy boots.
(mild attack warning The latter set, by contrast, is starting to look on the way to being too small — more in height than in width, despite a year of good meals and half that of developing what muscles can be expected for a child. She’s been reluctant to consider replacing them and all the rest of her clothes that still bear Lady Edelgard’s eagle crest. It’s something she should ask Hubert for advice on regarding any future clothing, as the art of even simple adjustments to clothing are beyond her, but she needed time to be able to even face the idea.)
She thanks Hubert for dropping her off to Ozymandias’s house and says goodbye before walking up to the front door. She reaches toward the door to knock — either by hand or by whatever device might be set up for announcing one’s presence — but hesitates.
Would it be more polite to tell him over the Watches rather than making a racket by the door? She reaches toward a pocket...but hesitates. No, what if he doesn’t have his Watch nearby? Then he might have to go away from the door to find out that he needs to double back to actually open the door. So maybe........
She will knock eventually if Ozymandias has not opened the door before she finishes these rather silly considerations especially for someone she’s known for a year by now.]
[Leslie does, in fact, not get the opportunity to make the decision of whether to knock or not in the end. Although Ozymandias has been allowing his larger sphinxes inside more often than not (since it just does not seem right to force them to suffer the cold outside), they are still attending to what's going on out there. One appears in one of the nearby windows briefly, looking outside to confirm it's her before disappearing back inside to fetch Ozymandias. It's entirely possible that she misses it altogether being so focused on whether or not to knock.]
[A few seconds later, Ozymandias opens the door, pulling it wide immediately.]
Leslie, how long have you been standing out in this cold? [he asks as he stands aside. It almost does not matter that she is so clearly bundled up as snugly as possible without inhibiting her ability to move. Ozymandias places a hand on one of her shoulders to gently usher her into the mansion.] Come in, come in. You should always feel free to let yourself in as this door is always open to you.
[Standing just beyond the entryway are Ozymandias' shadows. Or rather, it is Wehem-Mesut and his little brother Prakash ghosting his steps as per usual when he is home. Prakash gives a little stretch before sitting next to his big brother, tipping his head curiously at this newcomer. For the moment that the older sphinx is there, in any case. Wehem-Mesut knows his tiny human anywhere and heads on over to greet her. Which is perhaps not helpful to her beginning to peel off all her outer layers of warmth considering he's approaching half as tall as her by now, but when is a feline of any sort ever convenient?]
[Ozymandias closes the front door once Leslie is properly inside.]
